Create an emergency car kit!!
If you need to travel while bad weather hits make sure you have the following:
Cell phone, portable charger, extra batteries;
Items to stay warm such as extra hats, coats, mittens and blankets;
Windshield scraper and windshield fluid;
Shovel;
Flashlight with extra batteries;
Water and snack food;
First aid kit;
Check pressure in tires and make sure gas tank is full;
Cat litter or sand to help tires get traction or road salt;
Emergency distress flag or flares.
Be safe and if you can avoid traveling, please do so.
